Daniel Marco, new director of Space Kitchen SICI

Daniel Marco is, since the beginning of this 2023, new competition director Espacio Cocina SICI, replacing Miguel Bixquert, who after 30 years of service at Feria Valencia, will address a more than deserved break from work. Marco, who is also in charge of competitions such as Valencia Habitat Fair, returns to a fair such as the kitchen furniture and equipment fair that he himself promoted together with Miguel Bixquert in 2016.

In this way, Daniel Marco is in charge of a biennial event that is scheduled to be held in 2024 after a successful call in 2022, precisely next to Feria Hábitat Valencia and Home Textiles Premium by Textilhogar. The coincidence of Marco at the head of the habitat and kitchen contests suppose, definitely, an incentive to strengthen the synergies between both sectors and address the future growth of the call. Remember that in its latest edition, the call for Espacio Cocina SICI together with Habitat and the textile event managed to bring together more than 48.000 professional visitors from 70 countries.

Expert in economics and management

Daniel Marco, degree in Economy by University of Valencia, began his professional career at the Valencian Institute of Economic Research (ivy), where he directed several studies and projects of an economic nature for companies and public institutions. In the year 2000 joined Feria Valencia, where he worked as deputy director and director of various competitions for seven years. From there, in 2007 made the leap to Valencian Export Institute (Ivex) as deputy director. In public administration he also held the Autonomous Secretary of Commerce and Tourism and the general direction of internationalization from Ministry of Economy of the Generalitat Valenciana.

Marco has also developed his role as a teacher as a professor of microeconomics in the department of Economic analysis from the University of Valencia.
